BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Location: Orlando, FL 32809


Red Meters manufactures industrial measurement systems used by Fortune 500 companies around the world to measure mining slurries, dredging operations, oil and gas pipelines, and similar applications. We are seeking a driven individual with an interest in technology and/or the industrial sector to support our Business Development team as our Sales Support Coordinator. Your relationship management/sales skill set will be instrumental in engaging prospective customers and partners. To accomplish this, you will answer inbound calls and inquiries, qualify prospective leads, and set appointments for the Business Development team. Our team is looking for self starters who are comfortable approaching new problems and adapting to each clients unique challenges. Those just looking for “a job” will neither be compatible with nor comfortable in our fast-paced environment. Remuneration comprises a basic salary and uncapped commission.


General:

The ideal candidate will have sales experience with a proven track record in closing deals.  Experience/interest in working in the industrial sector and working with international companies to finalize deals brought in by the lead generation team and distributors. Your relationship management / sales skill set will be instrumental in closing deals and bringing on new customers. Strong, direct communication skills are essential to this role as you will be communicating with large multinational companies throughout the globe.


To succeed in this position, candidates should have exceptional communication, computer, and problem-solving skills. You should be resourceful, analytical, adaptable, and organized with the ability to build rapport with potential customers.


Responsibilities:

Handle commercial and logistics negotiations of new and repeat orders

Generate estimates based on customer or distributor submitted RFQ's

Ensure Purchase Orders are received and funded

Communicate with Partners (distributors), customers, engineering firms, etc

Update and maintain management platforms 

Report to Sales Director and Management Team


Requirements:

Very strong written and verbal communication skill

Proven ability to move potential customers to action

Strong sense of professionalism and personal responsibility

Experience working in or with international companies

Understanding customer behaviors and industry trends

A minimum of 5 years’ of related experience in a sales role

Able to build extensive, accurate product knowledge


Normal Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position. Standard business hours are Monday through Friday 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Additional time outside of these hours may be needed to complete the essential functions of the job.


Education, Training, and Experience:

A bachelor’s degree or technical related discipline is preferred.

Requires a minimum 5 years’ experience in an account management or customer service position

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment.

This role routinely operates standard office equipment. 

Travel may be required.

Projected Year 1 Income (basic + commission) $120,000 +
